A REST DAY, IS A WORK DAY!

Book in your time to rest as if it were a job you were scheduling.
We almost always view "rest" as a lesser priority than work. If we have urgent work to get through rest is usually the first sacrifice that is made.
But ask yourself this, Does a body builder train the exact same muscle every single day to make it grow?
Well no, they don't! And the reason being they understand that for the muscle to grow it also needs time to rest because if they were to over work it they can actually cause it to decrease in size because it's not given time so heal and grow.
Likewise if we push and push ourselves, not booking in that "rest day" we actually lower our productivity.
A day OFF should be just as important as a day ON.
When we stop, unwind and put the phone away our brains have a chance to repair, grow and function at their best. So don't view it as a lesser priority, but rather if you want to perform at your best give rest the respect and time it needs.
